Nordic HPC Summit Became a Launchpad for Danish SMEs in the Nordic Market
By pairing targeted networking and market insights EuroCC 2 and partners provided Danish SMEs a path into the Nordic innovation landscape at the HPC Summit in Stockholm.
The event took place on 22 October 2025 at Hotel Birger Jarl in Stockholm and gathered around 120 participants from across the Nordic HPC and AI community. In collaboration with the Nordic National Competence Centres in the EuroCC project and the Danish innovation cluster DigitalLead, EuroCC Denmark used the summit as the anchor point for a targeted Danish business delegation. Three Danish companies, Droids Agency, Nordic Software Developers and Black Capital Technology, gained not just a seat at the conference, but direct access to insights, networks and expert guidance that are often out of reach for small companies working with limited resources.
The delegation day began at the Danish Embassy in Stockholm, where trade and digitalisation advisors offered a practical introduction to the Swedish market. The setting was informal and allowed each of the attending companies could explore its specific questions – from regulatory frameworks to partnership models and customer expectations.

At the conference venue, participants gained a broader view of how HPC and AI are already powering innovation across the Nordics, and how emerging European initiatives around digital sovereignty open new opportunities for companies that rely on scalable compute and advanced AI expertise. Dedicated dialogues with Ulrik de Lichtenberg from the Danish Centre for AI Innovation, followed by a closing session with export advisors, helped the companies identify potential next steps tailored to their own strategies.
Nordic NCC’s as drivers of impact in the Nordic region
For EuroCC Denmark, the experience clearly demonstrated that when HPC expertise is combined with strategic partnerships and hands-on business support, a single conference can become an engine for cross-border growth. The summit also showcased how the alliance between the Nordic NNCs helps the Nordic countries present a united, recognisable front in the wider EuroHPC ecosystem, attract new projects and create coherent offerings for both industry and researchers, all of which contributes to strengthening the HPC and AI landscape in the region.
Co-organising a major Nordic event in the Swedish capital was an achievement in itself, but the real goal was ensuring that Danish SMEs were present, visible and plugged into the right networks, because services and expertise only matter when they translate into opportunities.
