Exploring quantum computing with DeiC at the Q-Access Roadshow
Visiting local quantum Hubs at 4 Danish Universities DeiC’s quantum crew continues to meet researchers and students’ thirst for information, use cases, and hands-on experience on quantum computing.
“We want to demystify quantum computing by giving researchers and students a thorough understanding of how they can practically apply quantum computing to their research and how they can get access to real (and free) quantum computing through DeiC"
Head of QuantumDeiC
DeiCs continuous efforts in making quantum computing readily available to researchers and students at Danish Universities is a collaborative effort.
Together with Quantum Hubs at SDU, AU, AAU and DTU, DeiC offered introduction to the concept of quantum computing and hands-on demonstrations showing how the technology is already being applied in research practice. Meeting researchers and students face-to-face always provides great input and valuable feedback ensuring our offerings are relevant and useful, making accessibility and application key criteria moving forward.
Quantum Computing Guides & Tools from DeiC
At the roadshow DeiC also presented the latest resources to help keep track of a rapidly evolving quantum computing landscape. In depth guides and tools developed by DeiCs quantum crew to help both new and more experienced users of quantum computing, and for all others with interest in this field interested a comprehensive overview of the Stakeholder Landscape in the Danish Quantum Computer Ecosystem was presented.
- A 64-pages Quantum Computing Guide for general Audiences to Technical Users in Denmark.
- A comprehensive 21-pages Overview of the Stakeholder Landscape in the Danish Quantum Ecosystem with currently 100 organizations divided into 5 categories, Political Level, Public Government, Public Foundations and Institutions, Danish Universities, and Business and Public/Private Market.
All researchers and students at Danish universities can apply for free access to quantum computing resources through DeiC. We provide a so-called 2-tier access program. If you want easy, quick access you can apply for access to Microsoft’s Azure Quantum platform worth up to DKK 25.000 through DeiC’s webpage and submit an online request form. This can even be requested multiple times. If you, on the other hand, require some kind of specialized access to quantum computers from market-available providers you can apply through 2 open calls every year with detailed description of your research project.
To help you apply and to get started with quantum computing DeiC offers consulting by experts in quantum computing. Our experts understand your computational needs and can provide support for leveraging quantum computing systems relevant to reaching your research goals. I.e., provide advice, share technical expertise on porting and optimizing applications for quantum computing environments, and offer guidance on software development as needed.
