GÉANT
GÉANT is the European collaborative organization for e-Infrastructures and services for research and education.
GÉANT is the pan-European research and education network. Funded by the EU and the European research networks, GÉANT develops and operates a high-speed network that connects European research networks with each other and with the rest of the world. In addition, GÉANT coordinates a number of EU-funded development projects.
GÉANT is owned by 38 national research networks from European countries, as well as by NORDUnet, which represents the five Nordic national research networks.
DeiC uses the GÉANT network to connect users of the research network abroad. This is done via DeiC's connection to NORDUnet.
DeiC is also active in working groups, committees and development projects in GÉANT.
DeiC is represented in GÉANT by:
- Division Director Martin Bech, Chair of SIG-MSP (Special Interest Group on Management of Service Portfolios)
- Head of Development and International Engagement Tangui Coulouarn (development projects)
