Quantum Communications
The Danish Research Network is participating in the quantum communication initiative EuroQCI, which also receives funding from the research reserve.
DeiC has been appointed to initiate activities supporting Part 1 of the Strategy regarding “a national skillsbuilding effort” to address these shortcomings by supporting Denmark fully using access to quantum computers and supercomputers (HPC facilities) for the benefit of Danish research and innovation in the quantum field.
The initiative aims to disseminate skills and increase understanding of the potential and risks of quantum technology among researchers and businesses. It will target a broad audience and ensure a better understanding of the possibilities and relevance of quantum infrastructure for society.
- DeiC will ensure synergy with the activities in the existing EuroCC2 project.
- DeiC will engage in collaboration and partnerships with relevant national actors.
DeiC has created “The National Competence Board for Quantum Computing“ (NCB-QC). The board will invite bidders to prepare defined courses, other educational activities and related training material. The national competence-building initiative will be carried out in alignment with competence-building activities in the EU and related national activities.
