Processing of submissions (disclosure obligation)

When you submit proposals and any material to the DeiC Conference, we process your data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

What information do we process?

We process the information you submit yourself in connection with your proposal, including for example:

  • Name, email and affiliation/organization
  • Title and description of your presentation
  • Info about professional background
  • Any additional material that you choose to attach

Who has access to the information?

Access to the submitted contributions and information is limited to:

  • DeiC's conference organization
  • Members of the program committee and any professional reviewers

The information is not shared with third parties and is used solely for the planning and execution of the conference.

How will the data be processed?

The data will be used for:

  • Assessment and selection of contributions for the conference program
  • Contact with you regarding the processing of your proposal
  • Planning, programming and publication of the program (if your paper is accepted)

If your paper is accepted, title, abstract, name, organization and professional background may be published in the conference program and related communications.

How long do we keep the information?

  • Submissions and related information will be kept as long as necessary for planning and running the DeiC Conference.
  • Information about accepted submissions may be kept for a longer period as documentation for the conference program and history.
  • Information about rejected submissions will generally be deleted after the conference has ended.

If your paper is accepted

If your paper is selected, you will be contacted directly with practical information. Your information will then also be used for communication about your presentation and the running of the conference.

If your presentation is not accepted

If your contribution is not selected, the information will not be used for any other purpose and will be deleted after the planning process, see above.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Gain insight into the information we process about you
  • Correct or delete your information
  • Object to the processing
